Windows (Vista, 10, 11) - Determining 32-Bit, 64-Bit, or ARM Versions
This document provides directions for determining if you have a 32-bit, 64-bit, or ARM-based processor of Windows.
- Click the Windows icon in the bottom left of your screen.
- Open Settings. If you do not see the Settings icon in the Windows menu, you can search for it in the search bar.
- Click System tab on the left-hand side.
- Scroll down and click the About section.
- Under Device specifications, look for System type.
- Next to the System type entry, you will see if you have a 32-bit or a 64-bit operating system.
- For the System type of ARM processors, it should say some variation of "ARM-based processor."
