iSchool Rooms: Reserving a Room
Who Can Reserve an iSchool Room?
Effective Fall 2026, iSchool conference rooms are only reservable by faculty, staff, PhD students, and registered iSchool student organizations. All other open student study and collaboration spaces (e.g., lobby and lounge spaces) remain open and don’t require a reservation.
How Do I Submit A Reservation Request?
A reservation is required for all iSchool Rooms. Reservation requests must be made at least one business day in advance and for the current semester. Same-day requests cannot be guaranteed. Requests made after business hours (including weekends and holidays) will be reviewed on the next business day.
To reserve a room, submit a request using the iSchool Room Reservation & Event Space Request form.
Please note that all room requests are considered tentative until you receive a confirmation email that your request has been accepted. If you have questions or if your meeting/event is cancelled, please email ischool-rooms@illinois.edu.
Room Reservation Guidelines
- If your meeting/event requires technical support, please submit the iSchool Tech Support Request Form.
- If your meeting/event requires special layout arrangements, please contact Assistant Director of Facilities Tad Schroeder at least one week before your event.
- Reservations are scheduled when the meeting/event begins. If you need technical support or prep time before your meeting/event, please include that in your request.
- Please restore the room to its original layout, clean whiteboards, and place all trash in receptacles at the conclusion of your event/meeting.
- Please end your meeting/event at the scheduled time so the next meeting/event can begin on time.
