Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Duo Version Update

A root certificate used by older Duo clients will expire on March 31. Duo Mobile and Duo-integrated applications must be updated to continue authenticating successfully.

If updates are not applied, users may experience:

  • Failed authentication attempts
  • Duo Push notifications not being delivered
  • Login disruptions for Duo-protected applications

Failure to update before the certificate expiration may result in authentication outages.

  1. Open the Duo Mobile App
  2. Tap the menu icon(≡) in the top-left corner
  3. Check the version number at the bottom of the screen. You will see something like (Version:4.103.0.1436.1).
    Version numbers are always ascending
