WebStore, CrashPlan License Purchases through Tech Services
CrashPlan licenses may be purchased through WebStore as a Unit Purchase for faculty and staff.
Licensing Information
- Licenses are billed annually based on the University fiscal year:
- July 1 – June 30
- Current cost:
- $97.00 per user license
- Licenses are prorated quarterly
Each license includes:
- Up to 5 devices per user
- Unlimited cloud backup storage
User Information Required
During checkout, you will complete a form providing user information for the license.
Requirements
- Licensed users must have a valid UIUC NetID
- CrashPlan authentication uses University Active Directory
Purchasing for Multiple Users
Departmental IT staff may purchase multiple licenses on behalf of users by entering their NetIDs during the order process.
Department Administration (Optional)
Licensed users may be assigned to a department, college, or organization group.
This allows a designated departmental CrashPlan administrator to assist with:
- Configuration
- Backup management
- Restore operations
