Unable to Log into Korbyt AnyWhere
After Publishing a Layout or Adding new Media, the Changes do not Immediately Appear
Illini Alerts are not Appearing on the Digital Sign
Korbyt Windows Player software fails to start after login with different account
Problem: The signage player software no longer launches after a different account is used to log into Windows on the device
Issue: The player needs to be able to modify settings and log files contained within the folder "C:\ProgramData\korbyt", and the logged-in account may not have sufficient permissions.
Resolution: Grant the account "Full Control" over all files and sub-folders inside "C:\ProgramData\korbyt"
Player Issues after installing on Windows 11 24H2
Problem: After installing Korbyt on a new Windows 11 device, the content does not display correctly or the player behaves abnormally.
Issue: The Korbyt Windows Player currently requires the "wmic" command in order to function normally. This is not included by default on Windows 11 24H2 and later.
Resolution: Add the WMIC optional feature to Windows. Note that for devices managed via Configuration Manager, a source file is required to add the feature. The "Windows 11 LOF 24H2" package can be used for installation via Task Sequence, and an example is available in the DEMO DAYS as Install WMIC.
Time displayed on sign layout is incorrect after daylight savings change
Problem: After daylight savings time started or ended, the time on the clock is an hour ahead or behind.
Issue: When a defined time zone is set with either the Clock or Text "Insert Time" option, it uses a fixed offset value that does not adjust based on daylight savings time.
Resolution: Display time using Text Element with the "Local Time Zone" so it will follow the timezone set on the player device and update at the appropriate time. To get the same format as the Clock element ( like "8:45 AM" ) the Time format can be set to "Hour(12):Minute"
Other custom formats can be set using Moment.js formatting strings: https://momentjs.com/docs/#/displaying/
