Google Site Kit: Quick Setup & Troubleshooting Guide

Google Site Kit is a WordPress plugin that connects your site to major Google tools like Search Console, Analytics, AdSense, PageSpeed Insights, and Tag Manager, without needing to add any tracking codes manually. Everything is displayed in one easy-to-use dashboard inside WordPress. This guide walks you through installing, setting up, and troubleshooting Site Kit so it runs smoothly.

1. Requirements

Before you begin, make sure:

  • WordPress 5.2+
  • PHP 7.4+
  • Your site is public, not in maintenance mode
  • The REST API is functioning (check under Tools → Site Health)

2. Install Site Kit

Option A: Through WordPress

  • Go to Plugins → Add New
  • Search “Site Kit”
  • Click Install, then Activate
