Electronic Directory, Issues, Error when changing email field in EDE

I tried to change my email in the mail field to netid@illinois.edu in the Electronic Directory Editor, but it gave me an error. What's wrong?

You must specify the full mailing domain, not just @illinois.edu:

  • For students with a Google Apps @ Illinois account, this will be NetID@g.illinois.edu.
  • For people with an Exchange (Office 365) account, this will be NetID@mx.uillinois.edu.

Updates in EDE take approximately 3-4 hours.
