Technology Documentation
The following documentation (also available in each room) goes over the steps to start and control your meeting from the room and how to share to the TV displays.
Start Your Meeting
- Contacts (left sidebar): Look up and call an Illinois Zoom-licensed account.
- New Meeting: Start an instant Zoom meeting.
- Join: Join a Zoom meeting by entering a meeting ID.
- Share: Display the steps to screen share for participants.
- Microsoft Teams: Join an existing Microsoft Teams meeting by entering a meeting ID.
Note: Meetings scheduled through the iSchool Room Reservation form will be listed on the touch panel. To join a scheduled meeting, just press the Join button below it. If the meeting is not listed, press the regular Join button on the right-hand side to manually enter the meeting code.
Control Your Meeting
- Audio: Mute/unmute the room mic.
- Video: Start/stop the room camera(s).
- Share: Display the screen sharing options for participants.
- Host Tools: Control your meeting settings.
- View: Change the TV display to speaker, gallery, thumbnail, and multi-speaker view layouts.
- Camera Control: Control camera mode, zoom level, and presets.
- Participants: View and manage meeting participants.
- Invite: Send a meeting invitation to participants.
- Record: Start/stop meeting recording.
- More: Access more features like chat, reactions, and breakout rooms.
- End: End or leave the meeting.
- Volume Bar: Control the room volume.
Share Your Screen
1. Use the Zoom App (Recommended)
- Open and sign in to the Zoom Workplace App on your device.
- Press the Share Screen button on your device.
- Note: This will automatically share your device's entire screen.
2. Use a Web Browser
- Open your web browser of choice.
- Go to the share.zoom.us website.
- Option 1 (Meeting in Progress):
- Enter the Meeting ID and click Share Screen.
- Enter the Meeting Passcode and click Join.
- (To find this info on the Host Control Panel, click the More icon and then Meeting Information).
- Option 2 (No Meeting in Progress):
- Select Enter a Room Code to Present.
- Select the content you want to share (Check Share sound if you will be playing audio) and click Share.
3. Join the Meeting First
- Open and sign in to the Zoom Workplace App on your device.
- Join the Zoom meeting.
- Click the Share button at the bottom of the meeting toolbar.
- Select the content you want to share (Check Share sound if you will be playing audio) and click Share.
