The Wall Control Panel in Classroom 12A is located on the wall behind the instructor's desk, to the left of the whiteboard. The buttons do the following:

• Power: Turns the projector on and off.
• Mute: Pauses the display (a blank screen is shown), but everything remains on.
• Volume: Controls the volume of the room speakers themselves.
  • We recommend adjusting the volume on the Mac Mini or Laptop first.
• PC: Projects the Mac Mini to the screen.
  • Necessary method if you want to use the room's speakers AND microphone.
  • For ease and comfort, you can join the same meeting on your laptop (mute your laptop's speakers and mic) while the Mac Mini controls the audio.
• HDMI: Projects the connected laptop to the screen.
  • This method allows you to use the room's display and speakers, but NOT the microphone.
• MIC: Turns the room's built-in microphone system on and off.
  • A blue light on the ceiling mic indicates it's on, and a red light indicates it is off.

1. Press the "Power" button on the wall control panel on the wall behind the desk to turn on the projector.
2. Once the projector is on, press PC on the wall control panel.
3. Sign in to the built-in Mac Mini using your NetID and password
   • If the room uses a wireless keyboard and/or mouse, make sure they are turned on by checking the power switch at the bottom of the device.

1. Press the "Power" button on the wall control panel on the wall behind the desk to turn on the projector.
2. Once the projector is on, press HDMI on the wall control panel.
3. Find the HDMI/USB-C cable labeled "For Laptops" near the built-in Mac Mini on the desk.
4. Connect either the HDMI cable or the attached USB-C adapter (dongle) to your laptop.

• My screen isn't being projected on the screen
  • Make sure you have selected the correct input on the wall control panel (PC for Mac Mini, HDMI for laptop).
  • If you're using a laptop, make sure the HDMI/USB-C cable is securely connected.
  • Check the light below the projector to see if it's on (green is on, red is off, and yellow is standby). Press the "Power" button on the wall control panel again if needed.
  • If the projector is on, check to see if the display is muted by pressing and unpressing the "Mute" button on the wall control panel.
• I can't hear any sound from the room speakers
  • Make sure the volume is turned up on the built-in Mac Mini or laptop.
  • Raise the room speaker volume on the wall control panel.
  • If on a laptop, make sure the sound is set to HDMI output.
    • Mac: Hold the "Option" key, click on the volume icon in the taskbar, and select "E654".
    • Windows: Right-click on the volume icon in the taskbar, select "Playback Devices", click "E654", click "Set Default", and click "OK".
