AITS - BIA - Tableau - Troubleshooting Dashboard Access in Safari browser

If a Tableau dashboard or view won't load in Safari browser but works fine in other browsers, try these steps in order:
  1. Disable "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking" — Safari > Settings > Privacy > uncheck "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking." This is the most common fix — Safari's tracking prevention often drops the session cookie after an SSO login redirect. Reload the dashboard after changing this.
  2. Allow cookies for the Tableau site specifically — Instead of turning off cross-site tracking everywhere, visit the Tableau site, then go to Safari menu > Settings for This Website, and set cookie/tracking permissions to allow just for that site.
  3. Clear cache and cookies for the Tableau domain — Safari > Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data, search for the Tableau server's domain, remove it, then reload and log in fresh.
  4. Disable content blockers or extensions — Ad blockers or privacy extensions can interfere with the login redirect or block scripts Tableau needs. Turn them off temporarily and retry.
  5. Try a Private Browsing window — This is mainly a diagnostic step, not a fix. If the dashboard works in Private Browsing when it didn't before, that points to stored cookies as the problem.
  6. Confirm Safari is fully updated
