Learn@Illinois Moodle - Publish Your Moodle Course in Canvas via Entire Course LTI

First, ATLAS needs to enable the LTI for your course(s). For FA24, all LAS courses previously hosted on Moodle will automatically have the Entire Course LTI enabled starting in mid-June 2024. To request the LTI for any other semester, please use https://go.illinois.edu/MoodleLTIRequest.

Request a Canvas space on the Space Request Application.
- Navigate to https://go.illinois.edu/sra.
- Follow the instructions here to request your Canvas site.

Once your Canvas site is created, add a new module by clicking +Module.

A window will pop up where you can give the module a name. Make sure to click Save at the bottom.

In the module you just created, click the plus icon. A window will pop up; select External Tool from the drop-down.

Scroll and select Moodle from the list.

Click the check boxes next to your course and click Add content.

Click Add Item.

Click into the link to see your Moodle course embedded into Canvas. Note: You must click into the site for the roster to start syncing. Roster sync can take several hours.

When you're ready for the site to be available to students, click the circle with the slash through it to Publish your material.
