ATLAS Salary Planner Assistant - Locking Periods, Departments, and Employees

A guide to locking planning periods, departments, and employees in the Salary Planner Assistant application.

Locking is a feature of Salary Planner Assistant that prevents changes from being made to various components of a salary group. Planning periods, departments within a period, and individual employees within a department's salary plan can all be locked individually.

How to Lock a Planning Period

Step 1 - From the Salary Group Admin Home, locate the listing for your desired planning period and click its Edit button.

Step 2 - In the window that pops up, check the box labeled Locked, and click Save.

Your period will now show up as Locked in the list of planning periods, and no further changes to its records will be allowed.

How to Lock a Department

Step 1 - From the Salary Group Admin Home, click the View Period button next to your desired planning period.

Step 2 - Within the selected period, locate the department you wish to lock, and click the checkbox within its Locked column.

Step 3 - Click the green Save button in the lower left corner of the page to save your changes.

No further changes to the department's records will be allowed until it is unlocked.

How to Lock an Employee

Step 1 - From the Salary Group Admin Home, click the View Period button next to your desired planning period.

Step 2 - Within the selected period, locate the department of the employee you wish to lock, and enter its salary plan by clicking either its name, or its View button.

Step 3 - After finding the appropriate employee on the salary plan, click the checkbox within the Locked column of their entry.

Step 4 - Click the green Save button in the bottom right of the page to save your changes.
