UIUC Mathematics Email Migration
Introduction page describing the Department of Mathematics at UIUC Email Migration.
The Department of Mathematics email server is being retired. It was
originally created to serve several needs that the campus email server
at the time could not handle; easier remote access via web browser,
larger mailbox sizes, and accessible via other email clients.
However the campus email server has been expanded and updated. It
provides an adequate webmail interface, has larger mailbox sizes with
automatic resizing, accessible via other email clients, and your Math
IT staff will continue to field email questions and escalate if needed.
For these and other reasons we will be migrating mailboxes from the Math
email server to the campus email server.
The actual process of moving email from one server to the other is
automatic, developed by a campus IT professional from the School of
Earth Society and Environment (SESE), has been used extensively by
Psychology and SESE, and needs to be initiated by you.
There are links below explaining the steps you need to take, as well as
answers to frequently asked questions. If your question is not
answered, then please send an email to math-it@illinois.edu.
