How to Remove Suspicious Browser Extensions
To remove suspicious browser extensions, navigate to your browser's extension management section (usually through the menu or settings), locate the unwanted extension, and click the "Remove" or "Uninstall" option. Each browser presents these settings slightly differently:
Google Chrome
- Click the three-dot icon in the top right corner of Chrome.
- Select More tools and then Extensions.
- Find the suspicious extension and click Remove.
- Confirm the removal by clicking Remove again.
Mozilla Firefox
- Click the three-line icon in the top right corner of Firefox.
- Select Add-ons and themes and then Extensions.
- Find the suspicious extension, click the three-dot icon next to it, and choose Remove.
Microsoft Edge
- Click the three-dot icon in the top right corner of Edge.
- Select Extensions.
- Find the suspicious extension and click Remove.
- Confirm the removal by clicking Remove again.
Safari
- Open Safari and click Safari in the top menu bar.
- Select Preferences from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Extensions tab.
- Find the suspicious extension and click Uninstall.
