This page provides information on E911 with Skype for Business Enterprise Voice software client.
E911 Service is available with Skype for Business Enterprise Voice
Events such as network or power outages may prevent Skype for Business Enterprise Voice from working. In these situations, users should use a cell phone, landline phone, or campus e-phone.
E911 Location General Info
Location information should be transmitted to emergency services if you are connected to the campus wired or wireless network AND using a supported Skype for Business client or IP Phone.
Smart phones will route 911 calls through your mobile phone provider. Location information depends on your phone's ability to track and send its location.
Making a 911 call where your location is unknown to the system will result in your call being routed to an Emergency Call Relay Center (ECRC) and you will be asked to provide your location.
