Networking, Technology Services Network Infrastructure Access Service

Provides and controls access to Technology Services physical network infrastructure locations, such as CER's and Telecommunications nodes for IT Pros, Technology Services personnel, F&S, and contractors.
What is a CER Key?

A CER (Communications Equipment Room) key allows employees to access network closets and cabinets to perform their job duties. 

Who can obtain a CER Key? 

IT Pros, F&S, Contractors and Technology Services employees are eligible to obtain a CER or network cabinet key to perform required job duties. However, some restrictions may apply. Please see Networking, Network Infrastructure Access Service, CER Keys for more information.

What is the cost to obtain a CER Key?

There is no charge to obtain a CER Key for your unit. However, your unit will be responsible for any re-keying costs if the key is lost. Lost keys must be reported to immediately to ensure the security of the CERs.
