Kaltura, Bulk upload of multiple files

I have many files I need to upload to Kaltura, is there a way to upload them in bulk?
Often professors and media professionals need to upload many files to Kaltura and can't spend the time uploading one at a time. If you need to upload more than 5 files to Kaltura at a time, please contact us at techsvc-kaltura-help@illinois.edu and mention that you need a bulk upload for Kaltura. We will respond with directions and send you a spreadsheet to fill out. Once you have returned the completed file to us, we will process the uploads and set you (or a designate) as the owner and the media will appear in MyMedia for you to publish.

You will need to fill out details on each file (including title, metadata, and other information) and place the file on an http or ftp server accessible to Kaltura. We have uploaded hundreds of files in bulk with the process and the key is making sure you have the file available and the data associated with the right media entry.

Before we can upload any media as a large scale process, you will need to define these for each media file:
  • Title of the video
  • Description
  • Any tags (optional)
  • URL of the file location (http or ftp server visible to Kaltura. NOTE: Box urls will not work)
It will also be a good idea for you to have ideas on where you wish the content to be published.
