Digital Signage, FWi Store
This knowledge base helps with using FWi Store in Content Manager Desktop (CMD) or Content Manager Web (CMWeb) to access and download content from the FWi Store.
The FWi Store is a feature of the Enterprise package that offers the ability to download content, templates, and apps that have been developed by Four Winds (or other third parties) to be used on digital signs.
- Content
- Images
- Videos
- Templates
- Both Portrait (vertical, 9:16) and Landscape (horizontal, 16:9) aspect ratios
- Apps
- "Pre-configured" Signs
Accessing FWi Store
To open the FWi Store in Content Manager Desktop (CMD):

Once launched, the FWi Store should look similar to this:

Content
To download content from the store, first click on the Content tab
After reviewing images or video files, hovering over the image will show a 'blue dot'.

Select the blue dot, and then click the aspect ratio you would like to download.
A dialog will show when the action is in process
A Save file dialog box will appear. The file should be saved to your unit folder; you can change the file name before saving if you wish.
After saving the file, follow normal steps for creating a Content item in Content Manager and applying to your signs.
Templates
The mechanism for downloading templates requires elevated permissions. If there is a template you would like to utilize for your unit, please send an email to digitalsignage@illinois.edu and we will download it for you.
Apps
All available apps (minus a few that require paid subscriptions) have already been downloaded into Content Manager and available for all to use.

To configure an App, drag it from the App library (the same as you would a template or content) onto a Content Player or Playlist
Right-Click on the App and select Configure
