Teams Client Installation 

Teams client installation for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Mobile.
Where to Download 

For University owned computers: If your unit utilizes end-point management (MECM or Munki) for application deployment it may already be deployed automatically to your computer or may be available for download from Software Center. Otherwise please reach out to your local IT for support. 

Teams is available as an individual download from Microsoft at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app 

Signing In 

  • Sign-in address: netid@illinois.edu 

    • or, if you're an AITS employee, use netid@uillinois.edu 

  • Password: AD password

The Microsoft Teams help center can be found at: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/teams. 

iOS and Android 

Notes: 

  • Teams Mobile may use cellular minutes and/or cellular data: Teams uses WiFi by default for calls and video, but Teams Simultaneous Ring and Forwarding features may use your cellular minutes and data plan if you are out of WiFi range and answer a call using the mobile app. 

Download the Teams Mobile Client for your device from: 

Use these settings when configuring your device: 

  • Organization sign in address: yournetid@illinois.edu 
  • Password: your AD password 
  • Check "Save Password" (so that you won't need to re-authenticate whenever you change networks)
