Enterprise, University Assigned, Preferred Email Address

By default, a student's "Preferred" contact is listed as their University-assigned email address. Some University services and websites check this when generating an email to students.

Users can add and modify personal contact email addresses through the Personal Information section of the Self-Service Apps, though there is no way for a user to change the "Preferred" selection to anything besides the default University-assigned address.

Students who need to change which address is "preferred" should contact Registration Services at the Office of the Registrar by email at registration@illinois.edu or by phone 217-333-6565.

Employees who need to change which address is "preferred" should contact Illinois Human Resources by email at ihr@illinois.edu or by phone at 217-333-2137.
