Classroom Technologies provides Audiovisual (AV) system training for events free of charge during Help Desk business hours (Mon-Fri 8am-9pm; Sat/Sun 12pm-5pm). Training requests can be submitted here. Immediate AV assistance is also available during the same business hours by calling the Help Desk at (217) 244-7000.

Upon request, Technology Services can provide an event operator to help set up the AV system in general assignment classrooms or the Levis Center. Technology Services currently charges $25 an hour per student (minimum one hour, additional time will be billed in15-minute increments past the hour) for Special Event Operation through the Help Desk (not with the AV Technicians).

Our AV Support Event Operator will arrive 15 minutes prior to the event for assistance with microphones, projection, and other AV technology. They can answer any questions you have regarding the technology in the room(s), and they will stay for the event in case of any issues. 

Our event support hours are:

Mon-Fri: 9am - 8pm

Sat-Sun: 12:30pm - 4:30pm
