This article answers frequently asked questions by learners in the Canvas Catalog platform.
  • How do I get help with Canvas?
    • Please see Canvas’ Student Guide for info on how to get help from:

  • Can I earn transcripted credit from the University of Illinois from courses in Canvas?
    • No, but many courses offer continuing education credits, as well as certificates of completion.
  • How do I enroll in a Catalog course?
  • I can’t log into my course or I can’t access my account. What can I do?
  • Where can I access my certificate of completion?
    • If your course or program includes a certificate, you can view and download the certificate when you have completed the course or program. Certificates are issued automatically upon completion and can be viewed at any time.
    • Note: When you complete a course or program with a certificate, a link to the certificate will also be emailed to you. 
    • On the Canvas Catalog Dashboard, click the Completed tab. 
    • To view the certificate in your web browser, click the View link. To download the certificate, click the Download link.
  • Who should I contact if there is a problem with course fee payment or if I need a refund? 
    • For refunds, check with the offering unit.
    • For course payment issues, please contact the Canvas Catalog support team at canvascatalog@illinois.edu.
