SANDI Charge Packages - Overview

[Charge Pacakges was added to SANDI 7/28/26] A Charge Package has it's own code, and allows the addition of procedure or supply codes to be added to it. The package price is the total of all package items. On the invoice, the Charge Package will be listed with all the items under it in italics and listed as "included" on the invoice as oppoed to listed each individually with separate prices. Charges can be added as required, which cannot be edited during entry or added as optional with incharge editing.

Charge Lists vs. Charge Packages

Charge Lists and Charge Packages are very similar, they both provide the user with a distinct set of charges that are to be included (required or optional) for a certain procedure. The most distinct difference is the way the charges are presented on the client invoice.

Items (procedures and supplies) on a Charge List will appear on the invoice each with its own line item as they always have.
Items on a Charge package will appear as "included" under the charge package charge with a summation of all package items in on total as shown below.

Adding a Charge Package in Charges

Note: Prescriptions cannot be completed within a charge package. Ward stock can be added.

Select Charges in SANDI.
There are two ways to add a Charge Package.
Select Add Package to see ONLY avaialbe packages, OR select Add Charge and enter the code or do a lookup by typing at least 3 letters.
- Note: Charge Packages are prefaced by a "box/package" icon. In the example below I searched for package and see there are three available.

Select a Charge Package.
Review and edit charges listed.
- Charges listed as "Required" cannot be changed within the package view. (Editing is allowed once submitted via the Charges screen.)
- Charges listed as "Included" are editable within the package view.
Select Submit Charge to add.
